Given Fr. Rohr’s relationship to the Center for Action and Contemplation, his activities and its activities for many years, both during the time of his directorship and during the time he was not director, the choice of Rohr as keynote speaker for the 2003 National Young Adult Conference is questionable.

1 Materiel about CAC and Fr. Rohr The Archbishop is aware of concerns about Fr. Rohr.
1.1 March 13, 2003: Archbishop Sheehan distributes flier for the National Young Adult Conference at a Theology on Tap program.  It indicates Rohr is still the keynote speaker. Fr. Rohr remains as keynote speaker.
1.2 Archbishop’s Prior Dealings with CAC:  
  a.    July 10, 2001: Archdiocese of Santa Fe Presbyteral Council minutes state that Archbishop Sheehan wrote to CAC expressing his “strong objections” to various speakers and articles in Radical Grace. CAC moves off of church property.
  b.    October-December 2001Radical Grace announced that CAC was moving off of Holy Family property.  
1.3 Incident concerning Sr. Jose Hobday:  
  a.    Letter of LPC to Archbishop Sheehan concerning Hobday

CAC hosts a Call to Action speaker on Church property after Archbishop Sheehan has said that she would not be speaking at any future events in the Archdiocese.

  c.    Flier for Sr. Jose Hobday presentation at Ascension parish, January 18, 2003. Nevertheless, she continues to have speaking engagements, one sponsored by CAC at Ascension parish.
