13.0 New Ways Ministry
13.1

New Ways Ministry Bridge Building program operated out of CAC:

Under the inspiration of Gramick’s 1996 “Gay and Lesbian Christians in the Church” seminar at CAC, several people formed the Bridge Building Community at CAC.  According to an article in Radical Grace, it met over the next year to discuss, among other things, the scriptures that are “used to declare homosexuality a sin against humanity and God.”

The author says: “One such insight was that none of the scriptures specifically spoke against homosexuality and in fact all of the scriptures pointed to other acts deemed sinful, such as the lack of hospitality and the practice of temple prostitution.”
